Role -  Digital Forensics Specialist

A Digital Forensics Specialist investigates and analyzes digital data to uncover evidence of cybercrimes, data breaches, and other illegal activities. Key responsibilities include conducting forensic examinations of electronic devices, utilizing specialized software and hardware, and collaborating with law enforcement.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct forensic examinations of electronic devices, including computers, mobile devices, and other digital storage media.

Utilize software and hardware forensic tools to extract, preserve, analyze, and present evidence.

Assist law enforcement and legal entities in investigations and court cases.

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing examination results and findings.

Serve as a subject matter expert on digital evidence and testify in court as needed.

Maintain effective communication with supervisors, law enforcement personnel, and other stakeholders.

Stay updated on applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in digital forensics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field.

Experience with complex software tools in a criminal justice environment.

Ability to obtain necessary certifications, such as FBI Computer Analysis Response Team (CART) Forensic Examiner certification.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
