Job Description - A Drone Pilot specializing in survey and mapping is responsible for operating drones to collect aerial data for various applications, including land surveying, construction, and environmental monitoring. Key duties include planning flight paths, capturing high-resolution images, processing data for mapping, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.

Responsibilities:

Operate drones to capture high-resolution images and videos for mapping and surveying purposes.

Plan and execute flight paths to ensure efficient data collection.

Process and analyze collected data to create detailed maps and models.

Maintain and troubleshoot drone equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety protocols during operations.

Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand specific mapping needs.

Qualifications:

Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) from the FAA.

Experience in drone operation and data collection.

Familiarity with GIS software and mapping tools.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Skills:

Background in surveying, engineering, or a related field.

Additional certifications in drone operation or specialized mapping techniques.

Experience with various drone platforms and payloads.
