Job Description: Business Development Manager (Government Defence Sector Sales)
Position: Business Development Manager
Industry: Technology and Tactical Products
Experience: Minimum 5 years in core sales, particularly in the government defence sector.
Location: Saket Delhi
Salary: Depends on the Experience and knowledge of the field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
o Identify and engage potential government and defence clients for technology and tactical products.
o Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the defence sector.
2. Client Relationship Management:
o Build strong relationships with defence departments and government agencies.
o Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions aligned with departmental needs.
3. Product Promotion and Presentations:
o Present product solutions to clients, demonstrating expertise in technology and tactical applications.
o Prepare proposals, tenders, and presentations in line with government procurement protocols.
4. Market Research and Intelligence:
o Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the defence sector. o Monitor competitor activities and provide insights for strategic positioning.
5. Coordination and Collaboration:
o Work closely with the technical team to ensure client requirements are met. o Collaborate with internal departments for smooth execution of sales and projects.
6. Travel and On-Ground Presence:
o Be ready to travel extensively across India to meet clients and attend defense exhibitions, seminars, and meetings.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in core sales, with a proven track record in government or defence sector sales.
• Communication Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication. o Strong command of English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
• Client Understanding:
o Ability to grasp and analyse client requirements to provide effective solutions.
o Familiarity with government procurement processes, tenders, and contracts.
• Personality Traits:
o Go-getter attitude with strong negotiation skills. o Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to challenges.
• Other Requirements:
o High willingness and ability to travel across India at short notice. o Knowledge of defence technologies and tactical equipment is an advantage.
