Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering:
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
Business Process Analysis:
- Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and document detailed process models, workflows, and procedures.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Develop data models and data requirements for various projects.
Requirements Documentation:
- Create clear and detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional requirement documents (FRDs) to communicate requirements to development and project teams.
System and Software Evaluation:
- Assess existing systems and software to determine their effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancements or replacements.
Solution Design:
- Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that systems and solutions meet the specified requirements.
- Identify and report defects and work with development teams to resolve them.
Change Management:
- Facilitate and support the implementation of new processes or systems within the organization.
- Create training materials and provide training to end-users.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Management:
- Assist in project planning, monitoring project progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred in some organizations.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP), are often a plus.
- Proven experience in business analysis or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and software.
