Role and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage financial models to analyze and forecast company performance.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct variance analysis to track actual financial performance against budgeted and forecasted figures.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to establish financial goals.
- Monitor and update forecasts regularly based on actual performance and changes in the business environment.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular financial reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations and long-term planning.
- Implement strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments that may impact the organization.
Financial Control:
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the finance department.
Financial Strategy:
- Collaborate with executive management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations for capital allocation.
Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and manage relationships with external tax advisors.
- Develop tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
Financial Software and Systems:
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial software and systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies that can enhance financial processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA may be preferred).
- Several years of progressive experience in financial management roles.
