Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Manager with expertise in the execution and infrastructure of electrical items. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain processes related to electrical projects. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient execution of projects, managing inventory, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
Responsibilities:
Project Execution Oversight:
Lead the execution of electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to streamline project execution processes.
Conduct regular project reviews to identify potential bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth project flow.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain for electrical items, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve lead times, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of electrical items, negotiating favourable terms and agreements to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Evaluate supplier performance regularly and implement measures to address any issues or discrepancies.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to inform supplier selection and relationship management.
Inventory Control:
Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
Utilize inventory management systems to track and monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage replenishment activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align inventory plans with production schedules and project timelines.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to electrical infrastructure and supply chain management.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including potential disruptions, shortages, or quality issues.
Implement robust contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of unforeseen events on project execution and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the electrical or construction industry, with a focus on project execution and infrastructure.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and infrastructure requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management software, and data analytics platforms.
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize competing demands.
