Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Asian Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The Asian Grill Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation at our grill restaurant. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Asian cuisine to deliver high-quality dishes that exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, including grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles, according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure consistency and quality in food presentation, taste, and texture, while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to develop new menu items, seasonal specials, and culinary concepts that showcase the diversity of Asian cuisine.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, recipe execution, and food handling procedures.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the grill station.
Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Work closely with front-of-house staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including temperature control, hygiene standards, and allergen management.
Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, addressing feedback, and accommodating special requests.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Grill Chef or Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant, preferably with a focus on Asian cuisine.
Extensive knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles, with a passion for exploring and incorporating regional cuisines.
Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a customer-centric approach to service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
