JOB DESCRIPTION :
Position Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the maintenance activities in a fasteners manufacturing facility. They will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to support continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Schedule and delegate maintenance tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency within the maintenance team.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility's infrastructure, including HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and other essential components.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies related to safety and environmental regulations.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and consumables necessary for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of inventory as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inspection reports.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime metrics for management review.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the fasteners industry.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising maintenance teams.
- Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
