Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Purchase Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of materials and equipment for our Government projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process for Government projects, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and placing orders.
- Oversee the selection and qualification of vendors.
- Negotiate and secure the best possible prices and terms for materials and equipment.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases and contracts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and procurement regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement for Government projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software (preferred).
