Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: The HR Operations Lead manages a team of HR professionals responsible for various operational tasks such as payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and HRIS management.
Policy Development and Implementation: They develop HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and ensure their effective implementation across the company.
Compliance Management: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations is a crucial aspect of the role. The HR Operations Lead stays updated on changes in legislation and ensures that the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.
HR Systems Management: They are responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of HR systems, including HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), timekeeping systems, and other software used for HR functions.
Payroll and Benefits Administration: Managing payroll processes, including ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, tax compliance, and deductions. They also oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and issue resolution.
Employee Relations: Handling employee relations issues, such as grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions. The HR Operations Lead may also facilitate communication between employees and management to address concerns and maintain a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Collaborating with managers to develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
Training and Development: Identifying training needs within the organization and coordinating training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Recruitment and Onboarding Support: While recruitment and onboarding may be handled by a separate team or department, the HR Operations Lead may provide support in these areas, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing HR metrics and trends to provide insights to management for decision-making. This may include turnover rates, retention rates, diversity metrics, and other key performance indicators.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking ways to improve HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.
