Job Profile: Mechanical Technician
LOCATION: Ghatkopar West, Mumbai
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
- 1 st round - Virtual round
- 2 nd round – Face to Face in Mumbai Office
COMPANY CULTURE:
- TIMINGS: 9:30AM TO 6PM
- WORKING DAYS: 6 DAYS WORKING – MONDAY TO SATURDAY
QUALIFICATION:
- Diploma in Metallurgy/Mechanical or related discipline.
- Good knowledge of international standards and codes.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Good communication skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in metallurgical laboratory examination.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Testing:
- Conduct routine mechanical tests:
- Tensile tests to determine material strength and elongation.
- Bend tests to assess material ductility.
- Charpy impact tests to evaluate material toughness.
- Hardness tests to measure a material's resistance to indentation.
- Perform other metallurgical, mechanical, failure, and corrosion testing as assigned.
Operational Support:
- Participate in on-site and field testing activities to gather data on materials.
- Assist in setting up and operating testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and calibrations.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all testing activities comply with ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation standards.
- Calibrate testing equipment according to established procedures.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other technicians to effectively execute testing tasks according to project schedules.
- Communicate test results and observations clearly to engineers and other stakeholders.
Additional Considerations:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following laboratory safety protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies and standards through training or continuing education.
- May contribute to the development and improvement of testing procedures.
