The Aerial Cinematography Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining aerial camera systems to capture high-quality video footage from various aerial platforms, including drones, helicopters, and other aircraft. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of cinematographic principles to deliver visually compelling content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate aerial camera systems and equipment to capture high-quality video footage.
- Coordinate with directors, producers, and other crew members to understand and execute the creative vision.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Plan and execute aerial shots, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Manage and troubleshoot technical issues with aerial equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of flights, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
- Edit and process raw footage to meet project requirements and timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in aerial cinematography technology and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and safety standards.
