Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Tendering to lead our tendering team in developing and executing winning bids that drive business growth and revenue. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of tendering success, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive tender strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
Bid Management: Lead and manage the tendering process, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of tendering professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Client Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, understanding their needs and preferences to inform tendering strategies.
Compliance and Risk: Ensure tendering processes and submissions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, identifying and mitigating risks.
Performance Analysis: Analyze tendering performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive success.
Budget Management: Manage tendering budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in tendering, bid management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and developing talent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
Strong understanding of tendering processes and best practices, with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, law, or engineering.
