Job Title: Professor – Chemical

Position Summary:
The Professor in Chemical will be responsible for providing leadership in teaching, research, and academic administration within the Chemical Department. This role involves delivering advanced-level instruction, leading significant research projects, mentoring faculty and students, and contributing to the strategic development of the department and institution.
Key Responsibilities:
· Teaching and Curriculum Development:
o Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Chemicals.
o Develop and continuously update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools, in accordance with academic and industry standards.
o Oversee curriculum development and review to ensure the program’s relevance and effectiveness.
o Evaluate and grade students’ academic performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
· Research and Scholarly Activities:
o Lead and conducted significant research projects in Chemical, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
o Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
o Seek and manage research funding, write grant proposals, and collaborate with other researchers and institutions.
o Supervise and mentor Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers, guiding their research projects and academic development.
· Supervision and Mentoring:
o Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior faculty members, including guidance on teaching and research.
o Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for faculty and students.
· Departmental and Institutional Service:
o Participate in and lead departmental meetings, committees, and strategic planning activities.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies, academic programs, and quality enhancement initiatives.
o Engage in institutional service, including serving on committees and participating in outreach and community engagement activities.
· Professional Development:
o Stay current with advancements in Chemical and educational methodologies.
o Engage in professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Qualifications:
· Educational Qualifications:
o A master's degree in chemical or a relevant specialization with first class from a recognized institution.
o A Ph.D. in Chemicals or a closely related field is required.
· Experience:
o At least 10 years of teaching experience in a university or recognized educational institution, with a proven record of research and scholarly activities.
o Demonstrated leadership in academic administration and curriculum development.
o Experience in supervising postgraduate and doctoral students is essential.
· Skills:
o Expertise in specialized areas of Chemical, such as Organic Chemical, Inorganic Chemical, Physical Chemical, or Analytical Chemical.
o Strong research skills with a substantial record of publications in high-impact journals.
o Proficiency in modern teaching methods and educational technologies.
o Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to lead and manage academic and research initiatives effectively.
