Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Shell Scripting Engineer to design, develop, and maintain shell scripts to automate system administration tasks, deployments, and monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain shell scripts to automate system administration tasks, deployments, and monitoring
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate shell scripts into CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot and debug shell scripts to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Develop and maintain documentation for shell scripts and automation processes
• Participate in the development of DevOps best practices and standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of systems and applications

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, command-line operations, and system administration
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, ELK, etc.)
